Rhinofish Noodle Bar set out on a mission to introduce Vancouver to the authentic taste of Taiwanese Beef Noodle Soup. Located in the heart of Chinatown, their very hip and upbeat restaurant reached out to Tangoo to help them turn around what was a troubling launch that put them in a hole of bad reviews online. Tangoo helped them turn around their online reputation by capturing the true essence of Rhinofish with social media strategy, educative posts, and clever campaigns that turned into permanent promotions at the restaurant.

THE RESULTS

Grew their social audience to more than 3400 organic followers in less than 10 months.

THE STRATEGY

To help Rhinofish reach their goals, Tangoo worked with its team of exceptional content creators to deliver media that would resonate with not only the Chinatown audience but with Downtown Vancouver as a whole. Their Social Media platforms were positioned to raise awareness towards the product offering of Rhinofish while educating them on the history and authenticity behind their dishes. 

Once their following had significantly grown, Tangoo engaged with the Rhinofish audience to deliver relevant traffic and revenue-generating campaigns. Case in point, following the success of the Chinese New Year Campaign, Tangoo sought to leverage this success and further build upon the theme of the Year of the Pig. The idea was to launch an All You Can Eat Campaign for one of Rhinofish famous products: the Pork Belly Bao! 

However, upon launching Social Polls, Tangoo quickly discovered that the Rhinofish audience would be more open to an All You Can Eat Campaign (AYCE) around their Chicken Nuggets instead of their Pork Belly Bao. Launching this AYCE campaign not only led to successful All You Can Eat Chicken Nuggets on Wednesday nights but it led to a permanent improvement in their operations by running it on Saturday’s and Sunday’s to create a new perpetual flow of revenue.
